Pierre Joseph Redouté

Pierre Joseph Redouté (1797-1840) lived in Paris. Redouté was a floral painter and engraver. For Marie Antoinette and the Empress Josephine he drew the most beautiful flowers of the garden at Malmaison. He became famous for his multicoloured prints of lilies and roses. Even today Redouté is honored as the Raphael of flowers.
